Information Literacy will provide you with helpful information about active reading and interrogating written texts. As you will learn from reading "New Understandings of Literacy," ideas about literacy are constantly evolving. It is important to learn to probe both written and visual texts for their messages, tones, lenses, etc. Doing so will not only encourage you to become more of a critical thinker, but it will also enable you to become a more engaged citizen in an increasingly textual world
