What is the mission of Writing Commons?

• To help college students improve their writing, research, and critical thinking

• To provide a creative space for teachers to develop a open education resources

Can you really use Writing Commons for free?

Yes. This site uses a Creative Commons 3.0 NC license, which allows you to print and email the text. Feel free to download and upload to your Blackboard site but be sure to attribute the source.

Do you need to register to use Writing Commons?

No. You can have access to all of the articles in Writing Commons without registering.  However, registering enables you to interact with the book in a variety of ways, from blogging, chatting with friends and teachers, to publishing helpful articles for other writers.

How can you navigate Writing Commons?
